This purpose of this website is to share my knowledge about Suicide to others in hopes to decrease
the amount of suicides that the United State's has each year.
Did you know that in the year 2005 there were FIVE times as many suicides as there were homicides? I bet
you didn't! That is because suicide is not a topic normally discussed in the classroom or on the news.
This summer I will be competing in the Miss South Carolina Competition and I will be supporting my platform
of "Building Self Confidence in Adolescent to Prevent Suicide." If you have ever been affected by suicide
then you know how important it is to talk about the subject and to try to decrease the stigma that surrounds suicide.
